"& SHE'S gonna get maaaried"! "She" being the lovely lady pictured with me below:
I am so excited for Andrea, one of my best friends & one of the truly best people I know. She is one of the first friends I met when I moved to Chicago. We met at a mutual friends party (who none of us even talk to anymore!) & exchanged numbers to go shopping. We finally went shopping a few weeks later & have been best friends ever since. That was in October of 2003!
We have been through a lot together over the past 8 years. We've supported each other through the good times and the bad. Laughter, tears, births (not ours!), deaths, new boyfriends (& now husbands!), break-ups, new jobs, new homes, WEDDINGS; I am so blessed to call her friend. She is always in my corner & will rally with me until the end!
Andrea, I am so happy for you and Charlie. Who would have thought that the guy in the window of Belly's on your 30th birthday would turn out to be your HUSBAND?! Ahh, that lovely little thing called fate. "You know what this is? This is fate, Edward, that's what this is" :)
You are a beautiful bride & I know tears will be streaming down my cheeks when I see you come down that aisle. I am honored to stand up with you & celebrate this incredible sacrament. I love you!
Well hive, it is time to say goodbye (tear!). It has been 2 years since these pictures were taken on a perfect day in Montego Bay.
Mr. Quiche and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary yesterday. It started out like any normal day and was capped off with a lovely dinner at Paris Club, a relatively new spot on the Chicago dining scene. We over-indulged & I have to say that the Creme Brulee & Pistachio Pot de Creme were totally worth it - yum!
It has been 2 1/2 years since I joined the insanely awesome Weddingbee Community. In that time, I've gotten to know so many of you, just as you've gotten to know Mr. Quiche and I (well, if you were reading the Bee way back when!). I haven't posted in awhile, so Hello! to some of the new readers out there. We've had a busy couple of years, complete with wonderful vacations, a new dog, new friends & a new business!
Hive, meet Derby. We rescued Derby almost 1 year ago today & I have to say it has been a pretty great year with her in our family. I am not ashamed to say that I am obsessed with this dog & cannot imagine our life without her! I found her through a great local Chicago rescue called Puppy Love Love Cats Pet Rescue.
Words cannot explain how much Weddingbee has meant to me. I have met the most amazing group of women, many of whom I am proud to call my great friends. Here is a little collage of life with some of these wonderful people. I know I will be friends with them for the long haul.
& finally, a new business! Last year I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own interior design business, Bien Living Design. Starting a business can be pretty scary, but I have to say it was absolutely the right decision for me at this point in my life. I keep busy with a number of local Chicago clients, but I also have a service directed towards young people & couples (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!) buying or moving into their first place - Long Distance Design. In short, it is Online Room Design and is a great way to work with an interior designer without breaking the bank.
Hive- thank you, thank you, thank you for making these past 2 1/2 years so memorable for me. I'll see you all on the boards :) Cheers!

My sister's wedding is tomorrow! I feel so lucky that I'm able to spend a full 6 days here in Ohio helping out. I love spending time with my family, and we have had such a great week! Lots of last minute crafts like assembling coloring books for the kiddos, wrapping ribbon around countless blue vintage Ball canning jars (my favorite!), manicures, pedicures and a special project that I can't wait to share with you next week!
So, pardon my absence this week. I have a really great excuse - I'm getting a new brother-in-law!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I'll close with a picture of my sisters, mom and I from my wedding 2 years ago. Can't wait to see my sister walk down the aisle!
My husband and I are heading off to celebrate the wedding of our friends Lisa & Alan. We are road tripping to Cleveland with one of my best friends, and I also can't wait (though my back can definitely wait...ouch!) for that part of the weekend! I imagine there will be quite a few sing-a-longs...
L & A made the trip down to Jamaica for our wedding & we are still so thankful that they were there to celebrate with us :)
