Which "Friends" Apartment Would You Choose?

Friends is one of those shows where I've seen every episode 14 times.  When flipping through the channels before primetime TV, I'll often switch it to Friends to see what episode is playing...I'm not alone in this, I'll bet!

I came across this image through the Zinc Door FB page and had to post it here to get your opinions.  Which apartment would you choose?  Joey & Chandler's or Monica & Rachel's?

Me?  The girls win, hands down.

So these 2, essentially unemployed for years, girls end up with a huge 2 bedroom in Manhattan.  Hmm...methinks it was rent controlled or their parents were quite generous!

Which would you choose?  Do you have a favorite Friends moment?

They actually mention in one episode that it was Monica's grandma's apartment, and it is rent controlled. I think it was still in her name so the rent didn't go up when Monica moved in :)

I saw this on Zinc Door's FB page too and thought it was really cool. Is it just me or is there basically no storage apart from Monica's closet of shame?

I tried really hard to weigh the merits of Chandler and Joey's place but ultimately had to go with the general consensus - Monica and Rachel's place wins.

I LOVE Monica & Rachel's apartment. It's amaaaaaaazing!

Lauren beat me to the punch -- yes, it was Monica's grandmother's apartment before she left it to Monica! I'm an addict and I've seen every episode a shameful number of times. Last night we had it on and I was quoting lines before anyone said them. Nick thinks I'm nuts.

I'd definitely go with the girls' apartment, too.... if just for that balcony alone! And I must dispute the unemployed statement.... I think they always had jobs, they just also had a LOT of time to hang out with their friends at Central Perk and in Monica's living room ;)

Always wonder when watching that show how they could afford that apartment.

Ha, I was going to jump in about the grandma's apt fun fact but others have beat me to it! I'd definitely choose the girls' apartment! (And I've also seen each episode 10+ times!)

I just started watching friends again too! The girls win by far. :)

And at the end of the last episode, they say how they've all lived in it at some point, even Ross lived there for a summer with his grandmother while doing dance classes, to which he replied "thought we'd got through 10 years without that coming up!!". And Chandler's line 'thanks to rent control it was a freaking steal" solved my dilemma of how they afforded it...I lived about 50 paces up at 110 Bedford for a year and it was half the size at the back of the building with minimal daylight and no balcony, and a chef and waitress would have trouble with that rent!!

For me I would chose Rachels and Monica, seems like more living space.
